Frozen Yogurt Covered Blueberries have antioxidants, fiber, potassium and vitamin C because of the blueberries! The Greek yogurt provides a creaminess and important nutrients like calcium, potassium, and protein. The amount of nutrients in the yogurt can vary depending on if it is dairy or non-dairy based.

To switch things up consider using raspberries, blackberries or a combination of the three! You may also use a non-dairy yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Blueberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1/4 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (or other yogurt of choice)

A note on ingredient quality: If possible, choose ingredients that are organic and non-GMO. Stores such as Sprouts, Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, and other health food stores can help finding higher-quality ingredients. If access to higher quality ingredients isn't an option for you, choose the best option that is available to you locally.

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine blueberries and yogurt until well coated.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer individual yogurt-covered blueberries to the sheet in an even layer.

  3. Freeze for at least 30 minutes before transferring to a freezer bag or a freezer-safe storage container. Continue to store in the freezer until ready to eat.

Notes

  • Kid-Friendly

    • Serve just a few at a time as these will melt quickly after handling.

  • Dairy-Free & Vegan

    • Use a dairy-free yogurt such as coconut or almond.
