Our Citrus Fruit Salad recipe is a great way for kids to enjoy fresh fruit and get involved in the kitchen! They can help put the fruit in a bowl and even help mix it all together.

Citrus Fruit Salad is a good source of fiber, which means it can be helpful for kiddos who struggle with constipation. This recipe features oranges, grapefruit, cinnamon and maple syrup, which are a great source of antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin A and can support wound healing, the immune system and prevent cancer. Eating this fruit salad with an iron-rich food will help increase iron absorption.

Ingredients

  • 1 Navel Orange (peeled and diced)

  • 1 Grapefruit (peeled and diced)

  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Add the orange, grapefruit, and maple syrup to a bowl. Toss to combine. Sprinkle cinnamon all over and toss again.

  2. Divide into bowls and enjoy!
