Our Air Fryer Sweet Potato Hashbrowns recipe features the very nutritious sweet potato which is also a very versatile food. The sweet potato can be enjoyed in a variety of ways (baked, mashed, pureed in baked goods, etc.) thus making it a great option for picky eaters!

Sweet potatoes are a great source of fiber, potassium, magnesium, vitamin A, C and B6. This nutrient rich food can help with healthy brain function, improving behavior associated with ASD and can help with digestion.

This recipe can be adjusted to your flavor preference! You can add garlic, pepper and even smoked paprika according to your child’s sensory preferences.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Sweet Potato (large, cubed)

  • 2 tsps Avocado Oil

  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt (to taste)

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C). Toss the sweet potato with the oil until well coated. Add to the air fryer and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, or until desired crispiness, tossing halfway through.

  2. Top with salt. Serve and enjoy!
