Homemade Gummies

If your child loves gummies, but you’re not in love with the ingredients, this recipe is one to try! It may seem daunting to make your own gummies, however, it cannot be easier! The recipe only requires 4 ingredients and uses honey as a natural sweetener.

You can also use any kind of juice including orange, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, carrot, or a veggie blend! We recommend using exclusively 100% juice, and bonus points if it’s organic! Our favorite store-bought brand is Lakewood Organic (not sponsored) as they are all 100% juice, organic, and bottled in glass bottles instead of plastic. You can see their full collection here. We’ve found them at Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Sprouts, and even Safeway. You could also use their store locator.

This recipe is full of vitamin C, natural electrolytes, and antioxidants. You’ll also be surprised to learn that there are 4 grams of protein per 2 gummies! Keep in mind that even though the natural sweetener is honey, moderation of any added sweetener is warranted. Use these in place of your child’s favorite gummy snacks! You can even use a gummy mold to make them into your child’s favorite gummy shapes.

Materials

A note on ingredient quality: If possible, choose ingredients that are organic and non-GMO. Stores such as Sprouts, Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, and other health food stores can help finding higher-quality ingredients. If access to higher quality ingredients isn't an option for you, choose the best option that is available to you locally.
